Work package 2: Distributional effects of RE expansion

Price effects in the power sector

The intensified development of renewable energies in the power sector increases the supply of electricity, resulting in a fall in electricity prices on the stock exchange. How and to what extent these price reductions are passed on to traders, companies and private households is relatively unclear up to now. ImpRES aims to come up with an estimation which makes it possible to show who benefits and to what extent from price reductions on the stock exchange.
